Born in Ningbo, China, Now a graduate student in the M.S. Journalism Program at Columbia Journalism School.
I started my journalism career at Syracuse University, where I got my bachelor's degree in magazine, newspaper, and digital journalism program.
Past experiences in graphics design and video editing projects have equipped me with multimedia story-telling skills. I have authored and produced articles from on-beat, timely news pieces to long-form investigative stories.
In the hope of becoming a recorder of how people around me endured this era of uncertainty, I kept my focus on nomadic Chinese internationals in the United States. From finding interesting personal stories that can illustrate ways Chinese internationals engage the local community, to covering Chinese students’ involvement in a worldwide civil protest, I have been striving to look for stories that speak about the unique vexation of this special community that I frustratingly belong to.
